Elections are in the news today and eyes are on Arkansas, Kentucky and Pennsylvania. Indiana is the news as Mark Souder U.S Representative of District 3 resigned admitting that he had an affair with one of his staff. He won the right to run in the fall election. Now the Republicans are looking for a candidate and the Democrats are eyeing another seat. Marlin Stutzman is being considered. Republican who fail generally resign, unlike Democrats that try to talk their way out of the problem. Unlike Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal who is a candidate for United States Senate vying to take retiring Chris Dodd's seat.
Cheats, liars and thieves are what we have in congress and often times their practices go un-noticed, but the last couple of years it seems more and more of them are being exposed. However, I do not understand some of the guilty are still in office after being caught.

Famous Quote of the Day
"The great rule of conduct for us, in regard to foreign nations, is in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible. Europe has a set of primary interests, which to us have none, or a very remote relation. Hence she must be engaged in frequent controversies the causes of which are essentially foreign to our concerns. Hence, therefore, it must be unwise in us to implicate ourselves, by artificial ties, in the ordinary vicissitudes of her politics, or the ordinary combinations and collisions of her friendships or enmities."
George Washing ton in his Farewell Speech September 19, 1796
